Suzanne Kadziola

President

Suzanne has been the President of the Christchurch Chamber of Trade and Commerce since April 2022. She has been an active member of the Chamber and on the Executive for a number of years and was previously the Events officer and organised many excellent social and networking events. She is a non-voting member of the Neighbourhood Plan Working Party and also attends the Dorset Safer Business Partnership meetings as well as dealing with many other Chamber matters.
Suzanne is the Practice Manager and a Partner at Williams Thompson Solicitors in Christchurch.

Andrew Barfield

Treasurer & Immediate Past President

Andy is the Proprietor of Gervis Accountants in Christchurch. He is the immediate past President of the Chamber and has taken up the role of Treasurer and the Editor of the Chamber Chat (the Chamber’s newsletter). He is well known in Christchurch and involved in a number of local organisations including being Chair of the Christchurch Magdalen Trust.

Sue Harmon Smith

Chamber Secretary

As Secretary, Sue looks after the Executive Meetings, Membership and is a representative on meetings with BCP Tourism & Events. She helps with the production of the Newsletter, as well as working on events, website etc. Sue was Christchurch Tourism Manager for a number of years; Manager of Adventure Wonderland; an organiser of Stompin’ on the Quomps, and has been involved with the Christchurch Food Festival for many years

Lucy Filer

Executive Member

Lucy is a partner at TC Filer Knapper, Accountants and business advisers, and has been for over 20 years.  She is actively involved in local business matters, including chairing the Christchurch BID and working with the Chamber.

Tim Lloyd

Tourism

Tim is MD at Captain’s Club Hotel & Spa.  He is also a director of Christchurch BID and represents the BID on the BCP Destination Management Board.  Tim is also a committee member of the BH Area Hospitality Association (BAHA) and a trustee of Christchurch Food Festival Education Trust (www.cffet.org.uk).  Tim has been a long-term supporter of the Chamber and was President in 2001 before becoming a founder of the Christchurch Food Festival and remained on the board for 20 years.  He currently sits on the chamber Executive as the tourism representative.

Peter Watson-Lee

Communications

Peter is a former President of the Chamber and returned to the Executive to help edit the initial editions of the Chat Newsletter. He also writes the Chamber’s Column in the Eye magazines.  He has worked in Christchurch for over 35 years as a Solicitor and partner at Williams Thompson Solicitors in Bridge Street and continues to be actively involved in a number of local organisations.

Bob Atkins

Planning

Bob receives BCP Council’s Planning updates each week, and brings anything concerning businesses to the Executive Committee’s attention. Bob has had an engineering business in Christchurch since 1974 and undertakes specialist projects which include product development, jig and tool and machine design and manufacture.  (Telephone number 01425 274718 ; mobile 07870 884864)

Peter Thorne

Airport

Peter ran a business in Christchurch and was President of the Chamber in 1986/67. He has been on the Executive for 42 years and brings significant background knowledge to the Committee. He has also represented the Chamber on the Bournemouth Airport Consultative Committee for many years and has Chaired the Committee on three occasions.
