Tim Lloyd
President & Tourism

Tim is MD at Captain’s Club Hotel & Spa.  He is also a director of Christchurch BID and represents the Christchurch hotels on the Accommodation BID, which is BCP wide.   Tim is also a committee member of the BH Area Hospitality Association (BAHA) and a trustee of Christchurch Food Festival Education Trust (www.cffet.org.uk).  He has been a long-term supporter of the Chamber and was President in 2001 before becoming a founder of the Christchurch Food Festival and remained on the board for 20 years.  He currently sits on the Chamber Executive as the Tourism Representative and has been very active on the BID’s Food Festival Local.

Joanna Cairns
Vice President

Jo is a dedicated professional when it comes to her career and ambitions, putting the welfare of her staff and customers at the forefront of her business. For over 15 years she provided the local area with a childminding service. After realising her ambitions lied elsewhere, Jo joined her partner in running a First aid & Fire Safety training company. The company has also been involved in many of the local events being put on each year by providing the Medical Cover ensuring everyone is safe and met with the correct level of care needed.

Sue Harmon-Smith
Chamber Secretary

As Secretary, Sue looks after the Executive Meetings, Membership, Social Events and helps with the production of the Chamber Chat. Sue was Christchurch Tourism Manager for a number of years; Manager of Adventure Wonderland; an organiser of Stompin’ on the Quomps and had been involved with the Christchurch Food Festival for many years.  Most recently she has been pleased to be involved with the Food Festival Local organised by the Christchurch BID.

Lucy Filer
Treasurer

Lucy is a partner at TC Group Accountants and business advisers based in the heart of Christchurch and has been for over 25 years.  She is actively involved in local business matters, including being ex-chair of the Christchurch BID and working with the Chamber.

Neighbourhood Plan Advisor

Andy is the Proprietor of Gervis Accountants in Christchurch and is the immediate past President of the Chamber. He is well known in Christchurch and involved in a number of local organisations including being Chair of the Christchurch Magdalen

Highcliffe Representative

Karen Goldingay is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in hospitality and event organisation. Her career spans over three decades, from owning small consumer businesses to organising large corporate events. Karen’s latest role has been as director of Cliffhanger Restaurant, where she continues to drive new business for the last 15 years, shaping its reputation as a beloved dining destination.

Richard Oswald
Bargates Representative & Chamber Chat

Richard helps put together the quarterly Chamber Chat newsletter which is distributed by hand to nearly 600 local businesses.   You can also get an electronic copy elsewhere on the website.   He has been part of the Christchurch business community for over 25 years and, lets be honest, looks it.  He is also part of the Bargates Community Group, a Chamber initiative that organises Clean Up Days and neighbourhood support.

Rhiannon is a Lawyer at Frettens Solicitors and acts as a representative for Christchurch BID alongside managing the Chambers social media. She is passionate about supporting the local area and being involved.

Peter Thorne Airport Representative

Peter ran a business in Christchurch and was President of the Chamber in 1986/67. He has been on the Executive for 42 years and brings significant background knowledge to the Committee. He has also represented the Chamber on the Bournemouth Airport Consultative Committee for many years and has Chaired the Committee on three occasions.
